TITLE: Child Nutrition Cashier Assistant
REPORTS TO: Child Nutrition Manager
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY REQUIRED:
- Completion of Granville County Child Nutrition Services new employee training. Ability to read and interpret detailed instructions, schedules and receipts.
- Ability to learn food preparation skills on the job.
- Ability to work independently in completing food preparation and cleaning task within assigned time frame.
- Ability to work quickly with hands.
- Knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to properly cashier meal services and complete daily paperwork
- Ability to properly handle money, including counting and making proper change
- Obtain a CDL with School Bus Endorsement
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is performed indoors, in a standing position, with exposure to frequent noise and heat. Able to lift up to (50) pounds.
GENERAL SUMMARY:
An employee in this position is accountable for preparing main dish and /or fruits and/or vegetables and/or bakery items. Maintain a clean work area and sanitize work area plus all equipment and utensils used in food preparation.
Serve as cashier during meal operations as needed. Child Nutrition Employees must obtain their bus license to be offered a CNS Position
