Site Coordinator After School
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 10 months, with salary to be established on the North Carolina State Salary Schedule.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Supervise the site when children report to the program unless the Program Administrator grants special permission.
- Supervise staff, schedule group assignments, orient new staff, and evaluate all staff.
- Maintain a physical environment that conforms to N.C. Licensing standards of safety and cleanliness and that is conducive to the optimal growth and development of children who attend the Before/After-School program.
- See that the facility conforms with N.C. licensing standards regarding the physical safety and well-being of the children and staff who use the facility.
- Develop and execute an ongoing program of activities that contribute to the care, growth, and development of the children who attend the program(3 or 4 activities per day depending on the hours of operation)
- Supervise the requisition of supplies and keep an updated inventory of supplies, equipment, and materials necessary to carry out the program of activities effectively.
- Enroll students, collect fees and send all revenues to a central location, and maintain good record keeping of attendance and parent sign-in/sign-out.
- Plan and conduct monthly staff meeting and keep the staff informed of licensing requirements and other information pertinent to their job.
- Participate and implement in-service training that is related to job responsibilities.
- Supervise the record-keeping for the program per licensing requirements including Children’s records, Staff records (including staff absenteeism), and Program records (late parents, incidents/accidents of students/staff).
- Assist in the development of operational and personnel policies and review them annually.
- Maintain contact/liaison with parents, staff, BSAC, and child care organization.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- BSAC (beginning school-age care certifications)
- Early Childhood Credentials I and II
