Driver’s Education Instructor

Terms of Employment: Part-time with salary to be determined by local salary schedule

Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Prepare lessons tailored to students' needs.
• Provide instruction on the parts and functions of a vehicle and on-road regulations.
• Teach practical skills related to all aspects of driving.
• Help students develop confidence in their driving skills.
• Gain control of the vehicle during emergency situations.
• Calm students who are in distress.
• Document and report on students' progress.
• Inform students when they are ready to take the driver's test.
• Report all accidents to the Director of Transportation.

Qualifications

• Driving: 5 years (Required)
• Driver's License (Required)
• NC Instructor's License. (80hr driver instructor course) (Required)
• Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)
